50 years of creation
Friart consacre une grande rétrospective à Bernhard Schobinger, l’artiste au cœur d’une révolution dans le domaine de la création de bijoux. L’exposition rend hommage à une figure indépendante de la scène Suisse sans pareil, en revisitant 50 ans de création originale.
De sa filiation à l’art concret, à la rébellion punk, de l’éclectisme postmoderne, jusqu’au moindre geste d’influence zen, l’œuvre de Schobinger se caractérise par une expérimentation constante qui revendique la déhiérarchisation des arts. Elle regorge d’inventions formelles et techniques qui célèbrent la rencontre des opposés, la transfiguration subtile d’objets quotidiens et chargés d’histoires. Dans cette démocratie des matériaux instaurée par l’artiste, les métaux nobles et les pierres précieuses côtoient les rebus de la civilisation industrielle.
Au premier étage, l’artiste présente une nouvelle série de pièces sur laquelle il travaille depuis plusieurs années. Celle-ci se base sur des fragments retrouvés dans les décombres de Berlin, ville détruite par les bombardements durant la seconde guerre mondiale. Elle invoque les liens entre mémoire et destruction qui façonnent la poétique de l’artiste.
