A Home is not a House ist der zweite Teil der Ausstellung A House is not a Home (21.09.-10.11.2019). Im ersten Teil befanden sich die Werke der dreizehn Künstlerinnen und Künstler in einem offenen Haus. Aufgeräumt und arrangiert den Ort bewohnend, befragten sie stumm das Verhältnis zwischen häuslichem Raum und Identität. Der zweite Teil inszeniert jetzt die Auswirkungen ihres Daseins in diesen geschlossenen Räumen:
Sie treten ein… und ein Gefühl von Déjà vu erfasst Sie. Das Haus, in das Sie zurückkehren, ist ein Anwesen das auf den Kopf gestellt ist. Verfolgt von den Erinnerungen ihres vorherigen Besuchs, sind Sie plötzlich unsicher, ob diese Erinnerungen überhaupt echt sind. Die Räume kommen Ihnen bekannt vor, aber die Stimmung ist eine völlig andere. Schien das Haus vorher bewohnt und einladend, sind sie jetzt mit Spuren eines verschwundenen Lebens konfrontiert. In der Abgeschlossenheit der Architektur ist es diesmal an Ihnen, mit den Geistern der Identität zu verhandeln.
